The Mount Washington Cog Railway is a 3 hour round trip to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast at 6288 feet. There is a 1 hour layover at the summit which is part of Mount Washington State Park which includes a visitor center and observation deck. The base area has a souvenir shop and some displays reflecting the history of the railroad.
