The Shreveport Railroad Museum opened in 2013 in a building on the grounds of the Shreveport Water Works Museum. The museum houses railroad artifacts from Northern Louisiana and the use of steam for transportation and has an HO scale model layout of downtown 1960’s Shreveport. The museum also owns several locomotives and other rolling stock currently in another location but is making plans to move them to an expanded site.
