The Louisiana Steam Train Association stated mission on their website is to preserve the golden age of railroading through the restoration and operation of vintage railroad equipment. The association has recently entered a venture with the Garyville Timber Museum with the organization moving its location to Garyville and what appears to be future plans for the Garyville Northern Railroad.
