The Colorado Railroad Museum offers outdoor displays including locomotives, passenger and freight cars and even a garden railway layout from the Denver Garden Railway Society in their operating rail yard. The museum continues inside the depot where there are a couple of rotating displays as well as a diorama of a telegrapher’s office, model trains including one that can be operated with quarters which is part of the Denver Model Railroad Club. The museum also offers train rides. There is the Standard ride, rides on the “Galloping Goose” motorcar and a number of themed excursions including Harvest Haunts, A Day Out With Thomas, Polar Express, and Wild West Days.
