Steamtown National Historic Site covers 62 acres of an active railyard and museum all about the era of steam railroading. There is a working Roundhouse and Turntable, a number of steam locomotives on display including Bigboy number 4012 as well as freight and passenger cars. The museum exhibits include the history, technology and impact of railroads. They offer a short narrated yard shuttle train ride lasting 30 minutes as well as other excursion trains on selected dates.
