The Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad has multiple locations and the pin on the map only points to the main location and therefore should not be used for directions. The Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad runs both Steam and Diesel trains. They run weekly all day excursions from Pittston to Jim Thorpe as well as Reading to Jim Thorpe with both of these trips picking up passengers at other stations along the way. They also have monthly trains from Reading to Pottsville and many other special event excursions. Our first trip with this railroad is their 250th Steam Celebration celebrating both the nation’s 250th birthday as well as the Union Pacific’s Big Boy.
